This is the New Ford Ranger 2012. The first official pictures and details of the new generation of the pickup were released on Thursday, October 14, at the same time that the brand presents at the International Exhibition of Australia. The good news that the New Ranger will also be sold in Brazil.
As you can see in the pictures, the New Ford Ranger 2012 has grown and gained a new look very similar to other brand models such as the New Edge. With modern features and new businesses, the new truck arrives to tackle the Hillux Toyota, Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Frontier and Volkswagen Amarok.
The photos show the interior trim of the Australian version (steering wheel on the right side), but shows that everything has been redesigned. In its new generation, the New Ford Ranger now has 20 storage compartments, which include the glove box that can hold a laptop compartment plus a "secret" provisions under the rear seat.
In mechanical terms, the new Ranger is offered in several markets with options Duratorq TDCi Diesel 2.2 I4, I5 3.2 Duratec I4 diesel than the 2.5 petrol, which should receive a bi-fuel configuration. To meet the diverse markets, the model will feature three transmission options: a five-speed manual as well as other manual and automatic, both six-speeds. Like most modern competitors, New Ranger now has a braking system that helps downhill and safety items like curtain air bags on all versions of the cabin.

Esta é a Nova Ford Ranger 2012. As primeiras fotos e detalhes oficiais da nova geração da picape foram divulgados nesta quinta-feira, 14 de outubro, ao mesmo tempo em que a marca a apresenta no Salão Internacional da Austrália. A boa notícia que a Nova Ranger também será vendida no Brasil.
Como é possível notar nas fotos, a Nova Ford Ranger 2012 cresceu e ganhou um novo visual bem semelhante à de outros modelos da marca, como por exemplo o Novo Edge. Com traços mais modernos e novo porte, a nova picape chega para enfrentar a Toyota Hillux, Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Frontier e Volkswagen Amarok.

Em termos mecânicos, a Nova Ranger será oferecida em diversos mercados com opções de motores Duratorq TDCi I4 2.2 diesel, I5 3.2 diesel além do Duratec I4 2.5 a gasolina, o qual deve receber uma configuração bicombustível. Para atender os diversos mercados, o modelo contará com três opções de transmissão: uma manual de cinco marchas além de outra manual e automática, ambas de seis velocidades. Assim como as concorrentes mais modernas, a Nova Ranger passa a contar com sistema que auxilia a frenagem em descidas e itens de segurança como air bags de cortina em todas as versões de cabine.
Esta versão foi produzida exclusivamente para a Tailandia, diferenciando assim, das outras versões apresentadas aqui no portal do Automóvel.
